Douglas fir lumber
Our strength is the production of high quality products from douglas fir.
We are buying targeted logs, first billet, from 4.20m to 15m and 40cm in top and more, around us up to 300km. Within, the part of second quality and big diameters is growing. From these we are able to produce extreme dimensions and / or special cuts for laminated wood or other applications.
High-grade products
Clears, planks most between 20cm and 50cm
- No pure sapwood, we are cutting “around the log”
- Lengths: 4.20m, 5.00m and 6.20m plus overlength
- Thickness: most 50mm, also 30 and 40mm are possible
Boules, unedged boards from single logs
- Only available upon special request
- Lengths are same as above, mostly clears
Clears in vertical grain
- Products are produced from logs, at least 60cm in top, commonly in 30, 40 and 50x120mm
- Standard in 30 und 50x120mm
- Cuts in other dimensions are also available
- High quality, few or no knots at all
- Lengths: As above and in various lengths
XXL-Boules
- Lengths up to 12m
- For example: manufacturing of sail masts
Edged Products
- Made from high quality logs for interior like doors, frames and furniture
Dimensional Products
Dimensional products produced from logs with black and sound knots. Free of heart and sapwood is also available but with extra charge. Knot diameter in this logs can be up to 7cm. We like to produce special dimensions and extremely long lengths.
This is just a small sample of what is possible:
- Square edged Planks and Boards in fix lengths up to 8m
- Crossbeams from 10x10 to 25x25cm, up to 6m
- 2 by one up to 250 x 500mm until 12m
- Long beams up to 400x400mm until 15m
Edged Planks from Sapwood / Sideplanks
Resulting from sawing high quality sections, we have multiple assortment of products in all quality grades. Everything is kiln-dried to 12-14%, as well as shortenings and package quality.
Standard lengths are 3m to 5m, 50/50cm, most of them in 3m, 4m and 5m. Everything is stacked and packed for transport.
The following dimensions and qualities are possible:
- 34x150 and 200mm, common
- Small Quantities also in clears
- 24x150 and 200mm, clears
- 24x150 and 200mm, common
- 24x80-200mm, in packaging quality
- Shortenings in 24mm, all quality available in one package
- Widths between 80 and 200mm
- Lengths: 1.20m, 1.50m, 2.00m and 2.50m
Special assortments
From high quality raw material, we produce poles knot-less in 20, 25 and 35mm. Lengths between 1.5m and 5m are possible. Wane-parallel-edged products are available in small quantities, as well as hand picked load for Post and Beam construction in discontinued dimensions and highest quality execution.
