Philosophy
Our name is obligation.
We chose Pur Natur because wood is a natural and long-lasting material and we add no artificial additives.
Over 100 years will be passing until a tree is valuable enough to be processed and ascending space for a younger tree. Regardless of the type of wood, each species has its own unique advantages which we humans should take advantage of. Color shades, knots, and pith are all natural parts of a tree and no defects.
We try to utilize these parts with our special cutting methods such as excluding and when possible by offering custom need products.
Economically, in these rural areas, wood work, next to tourism, has a high employment rate. Starting at the initial logging to the transportation, the sawmill and the final processing for: Interior fitting, carpentry and furniture up to complete houses made of wood and wood products. And where would be the print media without wood...
Our specializing in Douglas fir, Chestnut and Acacia has a simple reason: all these woods have a naturally high resistance and properly processed can provide long-lasting joy.
The sweet chestnut, or “Keshde” as it’s called in Baden, has been, for many decades, relegated as chimney logs for burning. With humanity coming to its sense regarding chemical wood protection and international restrictions on the lumber industry, these wood have enjoyed a sort of renaissance in the past 10 years. We hope to use the chestnut to revive the woodwork art of this respected specie.
